There are many helpful links and resources available to our aging community.
- The Illinois Department on Aging is a great resource for connecting with a State Agency in regards to help for an individual or couple with a broad view of what is available. You can get all of what the State has to offer at https://www.illinois.gov/aging/Pages/default.aspx. It covers everything from in-home care and adult day services to emergency home response services, nutrition and transportation.
- If you are in the Metro East area, http://www.seniorservicesplus.org/ is a great resource to plan and prepare for the different activities for a loved one and search for local in-home care companies to help while your loved one is still in the community.
- SIVNA (Southern Illinois Visiting Nurses Association) can also offer assistance while residing at home in addition to many other home care services. Visit http://sivna.com/ for more information on their services.
